Welcome to the Green Bay Curling Club
Green Bay Curling Club, Inc., was incorporated in 1959 as a member-owned, -funded and -operated nonprofit curling facility, open to all who wish to participate in and support the sport of curling.
In 1960, the club purchased land on Potts Avenue (now Mike McCarthy Way) in Green Bay and built a clubhouse with dedicated curling ice. GBCC, Inc., has been in the same location since.
The club and its board of directors continue to hold true to the primary mission of encouraging good curling and membership camaraderie while maintaining an enjoyable and well-kept facility. Every dollar available is re-invested in the club. All club business is conducted by club member volunteers.
The Board of Directors of the Green Bay Curling Club (GBCC) welcomes new and returning members to the curling season. We anticipate our 58th season to be fun-packed with regular league play and several bonspiels.
If you are new to GBCC, we offer curling opportunities ranging from introductory to competitive levels. All our leagues are social and welcome participants of varying experience and skill. You are encouraged to review the website information and ask returning members in order to register for the leagues that best suit you. The fall membership meeting will be held on Oct. 12th. Please plan to attend, as this meeting is a great place to meet other members and find out more about the club and the leagues that are offered.
During the season, this GBCC website, our email Broomstacker newsletter, various bulletin boards and email messages through Curling Manager are ways we will keep you informed. Your feedback is welcomed and appreciated. GBCC members are welcome to attend Board of Directors meetings at any time.
We would like to thank the many GBCC members who participated in the business of running the club last year - making and maintaining the ice, working with and participating in the the club fundraisers, and helping to run our bonspiels.
Your active participation in your club guarantees a rewarding curling experience during the season and ensures the continued success of GBCC. For this reason, the current Board of Directors sincerely thanks all volunteers, including the substantial contributions of those Directors whose terms are now completed.
We trust that all GBCC members will enjoy their curling experience this season.
Sincerely,The GBCC Board of Directors
