To prepare for your Learn 2 Curl:

We recommend you arrive about 15 minutes before the session to check in, prepare your equipment and meet your fabulous instructors.

The ice house temperature is about 40 degrees. Bring a light jacket or sweater, hat and mittens. Wear warm socks and BRING clean comfortable shoes such as light weight hiking or tennis shoes.

Once your gear is ready we’ll introduce you to curling ice. You’ll get a feel for the ice surface and we’ll show you how to deliver a stone, the ins and outs of sweeping, explain scoring and little about strategy. These are a few of the many aspects that make curling fun and great exercise.

After the introduction of the basics, we’ll divide into teams and scrimmage against the other participants in the “Learn 2 Curl” session.

Lessons are designed for ages 12 & up.  Families are encouraged to learn together but children younger than 12 are most often too small to manage the 42 lbs stones.

The ice house is about 40 degrees, please plan accordingly.  Wear warm, loose fitting clothing as you will need to stretch while delivering the stone.  Bring light weight gloves and hats.
