Green Bay Curling Club

GBCC Junior Curling Program

The primary objective of the juniors program is to have fun and develop a lifelong passion for curling.  Because curling is a game of etiquette, we teach, encourage, and promote good sportsmanship both on and off the ice.

This program is for boys and girls from grade four through seniors in high school. The juniors program is divided into two groups: the first being fourth through eighth grade (10 am - 12 noon) and the other group being High School students (noon - 2 pm).

Each session focuses on skill development, strategy, and etiquette, and ends with an actual game. After the game, teams are encouraged to engage in one of the most important aspects of the sport or curling - socializing with food and beverages.

Basic equipment (brooms, stabilizers, and sliders) is provided. Participants should bring clean, flat soled athletic shoes and dress for activity in cold temperatures (40 degrees is the average temperature).

The goal is curling every Saturday but that is not always possible with our club bonspiels and other events.  Please check our club calendar (under Club Events on the main menu bar).Questions can be direct to the Saturday Junior Program organizers (click name to email):  Dan Krupp (920-863-3587, 920-680-7034) and Morris Koepke (822-1678, 680-2059)
